The Evangelische Stadtakademie is located at Römerberg 9 in the heart of the city of Frankfurt – in close vicinity to the Römer and the surrounding museums (the Historical Museum, Schirn, Städel, Museum of Modern art etc.). In its immediate neighbourhood is the Protestant parish of St. Paul, and opposite the old church of St. Nikolai. The new location symbolizes our programme of community and dialogue. Römer 9 is an educational forum within the Protestant tradition, creating a lively, welcoming environment conducive to dialogue. At the heart of our work lies an invitation to discuss vital contemporary cultural and religious questions and issues within a constructive setting. The educational forum also seeks to be a place of spirited debate, where various political views can be exchanged.

The Protestant Stadtakademie Frankfurt is a place of urban cultural communication. Its aim is the recognition and illumination of today’s urgent questions. In the pluralism of today’s society, it wants to engage in the dialogue of opinions and the discussion of values, giving a voice to the topics and traditions of Christian belief.

We embrace adults of all age groups who are interested in critical discourse. Römer 9 is a theological space. We are open to people from different religions as well as to people without orthodox faith.
